Since 1986, the Theodore Roosevelt Association (TRA) has distributed more than 62,000 Teddy Bears to sick, frightened children in hospitals throughout the New York area.
In January 2008, the TRA expanded the Teddy Bear give-away program to children's hospitals nationwide. In one year, more than 8,000 Teddy Bears have connected with sick children in hospitals across the United States.
